Can a baby sleep in the Graco Pack n Play bassinet if he weighs over 15lbs?
We are thinking about getting the Graco Pack N Play Playard with bassinet. Our son weighs 13lbs and isan’t even 2 months yet. He can’t roll over yet. And we can’t get a crib yet because we are moving to japan and need something that can go with us to visit family and then fly to japan. I know it says not for babies over 15lbs but has anybody used it when there baby weighed more than 15lbs?
I actually have this playpen. It is recommended that you not because there is a chance, a small one, that the seams my rip causing the child to fall. HOWEVER yes, I have used it when my son was over 15 pounds, he was actually 17 pounds and he was just fine. Think of it like this there are some computer chairs on the market that have a weight limit of 200 pounds. If a 260 pound man sits in it, it MIGHT break and void the warranty but the odds are against it. But know this the more the baby weighs the more it will “sag” and the baby will not be laying flat so he might not be comfortable. After the last trip with my son to see my dad and I noticed he wasnt sleeping as well due to the “sag” and not being as comfortable as he was laying down we didnt do it beyond that one night.
