I would like to take my new baby along to the parents and baby group,?
but i was told that the group can be cliquey. Has anyone every experienced this at their parent and baby group? it wont put me of i will still take her along.
Hope I dont put you off but I had a terrible experience when I took my daughter who was 2 at the time. There were about 15 mums there. I walked in, sat down and nobody came near me for the whole session – 2 hrs. I am a very shy person and couldn’t find the courage to go over and chat. I found it very cruel to be honest and had to swallow the lump in my throat as I was leaving. I did notice they all looked older than me in their 30’s maybe where as I was 25 at the time. Maybe that had something to do with it. Or the fact that they were all a bit posh. I would love to set up my own group. For down to earth mummies of all ages, now that I have another little girl I just might do that!
