My wife and I are expecting are first child. What are some must have baby gear items you found useful?
A Baby Bjorn. Don’t accept any imitations, they’re the best. I didn’t have one with my first child and I wished so badly that I did that for my second child (due in a couple weeks) I told my husband it was the one thing I wanted for this baby. I bought it months ago and it’s sitting in the closet waiting for this baby to come.
And if your wife is planning to breastfeed, freezer storage bags for breastmilk are a MUST if she ever wants to get away (and it’s healthy to), or if she gets sick. Have her stock the freezer and you’ll always have it as a security. If you want to take your wife on a date and leave baby with the sitter, or if your wife gets sick and her milk supply drops, you have the comfort of knowing your baby is still getting the best nutrition possible. Of course, having freezer bags first requires a good breast pump.
