How long is it safe for baby to sleep in a playard or portable crib?
We’re visiting the in-laws for Christmas for 2 weeks, and my baby will be almost 6 months old. Is it safe for him to sleep in a playard, or will he be too big?
It would probably be safe, but make sure it is on the lower level. I know my pack-n-play has an attachment that keeps the baby up high. I think it is only recommended to use that part up to 3 months or 15 lbs. At 6 months, he can sleep in the bottom safely. We visited my grandparents in florida for a week and my 13 month old slept in the pack-n-play very happily for the trip. If you are really worried about it, find the manual and see if there are any weight or height restrictions.
